Pakistan earthquake

The death toll from the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck the south-western province of Balochistan on Wednesday 29 October stands at more that 160 with 15,000 people left homeless.

The quake injured scores of people and triggered landslides that damaged houses and blocked roads.

With support from Christian Aid and others, our partner CWS PA has been quick to assess needs and to mobilise support for families most affected.

Christian Aid has released £20,000 from its emergencies fund to support families and communities by providing immediate relief supplies.

CWS PA will distribute 100 food packages to families most in need, 1,000 tents with plastic ground sheets and blankets, and 4,000 hygiene kits.  In total, CWS PA will assist 4,000 families.

Your donations to Christian Aid’s emergencies fund enables us to react fast the moment a disaster strikes.
