A big thanks to our Mega Mersey abseilers!
Congratulations to our awesome abseilers who heroically bounced a massive 50 metres down the side of the Mersey Tunnel Ventilation Station in Birkenhead on Saturday, 27 February.
All 26 of our team overcame their fears and completed the abseil, which aims to raise £5,000 towards Christian Aid’s vital work to end poverty.
Among the abseilers was former Hollyoaks star, actor Junade Khan.
Junade, who played Ash Roy in the soap, said: ‘Christian Aid does some amazing work around the world, so I am happy to support anyone brave enough to do the Mega Mersey Abseil.
He added: ‘It’s a part of the world I know well from my time in Hollyoaks, so I joined others from the region and took part in this abseil to help people in some of the world’s poorest countries.’
