Hadrians Wall trekkersForty intrepid walkers joined us for the 2009 trek.

And that all 40 completed the course is a testament to a fantastic team spirit, helping one another up and down the steep banks, and dropping back to support those who needed it.

One, Steve Hammond-Evans, even battled all the way to the finsih despite picking up an injury near the beginning.

‘I loved the people on the team,’ said Josie Osborne from Essex. ‘Plus my first ever attempt at trying to sleep in a tent was an experience!

‘The fact that I have managed to raise more money than I thought for Christian Aid has made it all worth while,’ she added.
